As this staff and owner continuously serves quality ingredients, beautifully assembled, and prepared, with the utmost care and passion of service. Also, speaking of service The front of house team are nothing but spectacular on all levels not missing a beat. So when you have a winning combination like this a great place, great food, and great people, you can’t go anywhere else to loose yourself for an afternoon and enjoy the greatest meal. Always time well spent and worth a lazy drive all the way from Niskayuna on a beautiful autumn day. Additionally the owner coming over to our table was simply a delight, and we were ordering them offered to him to make the choice for our German Sampler Platter offerings, he chose amazingly. We can’t express our gratitude for this wonderful restaurant. ”

“ The Heidelberg is by far the best German restaurant in the area. I visited the restaurant this evening for my birthday and I was so happy I did. There have been a few changes with the menu but all of the food is so fresh and delicious. The sauerbraten was so tender and the gravy added just the right touch. The pan fried spatzle was so tasty as was the red cabbage which had just the right amount of tanginess that really complimented the meal. They also serve some delicious authentic German beer! We love the cozy feel of the restaurant and how authentic it is to the small hometown restaurants throughout Germany. Our server was extremely friendly and spoke about how much she loves working at the restaurant and has been there for a number of years. I lived in Germany for a while and the friend that accompanied me is originally from Germany. We both agree that the Heidelberg is definitely the best. We will be back soon! ”
“ Heidelberg is my favorite German restaurant in the region. HB is a great beer to have on draft and the cozy atmosphere brings me right back to my travels through Germany. The Schnitzel and Wurst options are delicious and the hidden surprise is the dill potato soup. Don’t question it. Trust me you will be glad you tried it. My only request is to add obatzde as an option with the pretzel and then it would really be complete. Seriously, this place is great!! ”

“ Rustic place not far from lake George. Really excellent food and service. Sauerbraten so tender and delicious!! In season must be crowded and outdoor seating full. Easy to find, easy parking, on one floor. Chicken wings were tasty too. Large and battered, nicely flavored. Worth our 45 min ride ”
